Artists get paid to tattoo not to draw, we don't draw tattoos without a deposit (nothing is free)
How should I prepare for my tattoo?
EAT, please do not get tattooed on an empty stomach, we don't want anyone passing out and turning into a zombie, snacks and a drink are not a bad idea however please don't be walking in with a 2 liter and box of pizza
How should I prepare for my tattoo?
Hygiene is important too, we’re not asking you to shower on your way after work but body odor might distract your artist and cleanliness helps tattoos heal great too also make sure you’re we rested hydrated and feeling great. If you're feeling off/under the weather you’re going to have a bad time
How should I prepare for my tattoo?
Don’t drink too much the night before, being hungover is an awful way to get tattooed and that’s when people bleed the most.
What should I wear for my tattoo session?
It’s more important to be comfortable than to be fashionable. Looser is better than tighter, and keep in mind you want to be able to cover up certain places that might show, depending on where you're getting your tattoo. For instance, a sports bra for a sternum tattoo is a bad idea, t-shirt and pasties are easy to workaround.
Do tattoos hurt?
Of course, however, it’s totally bearable and every location on the body feels different. Think of it this way, we get sunlight mostly on the outside of our arms, the inside of the arm hurts a little more than the outside. When the tattoo session is over guess what?! It doesn't hurt for the rest of your life. (there may be some irritation or sensitivity while healing). Remember to be relaxed and not tense.
Do tattoos hurt?
The first few minutes of a tattoo session and the last few minutes are generally the worst part, it takes time to “warm-up” to the needle. We've even had clients take 1+ hour naps during their tattoo session! (being well-rested hydrated and food in your belly will help you through the experience)
How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?
Up to 4 weeks. Everyone is different, your health and hygiene play a huge role in the healing process. Tattoos will scab/flake, they’ll get dry and they’ll itch. Moisturizing the skin with a non-scented lotion is recommended and will help the tattoo heal more comfortably, be careful not to over-moisturize.
How do I care for my tattoo?
When you remove your bandage it's important to clean your tattoo with warm water and antibacterial soap. Usually, any hand soap is good. Dial gold is the best, bar or pumps doesn’t matter just be gentle
How do I care for my tattoo?
Be sure to moisturize your tattoo a few times a day, but do not over moisturize, we recommend a non-scented plain white lotion. The lotion is great because its difficult to put too much lotion on, just don’t do it too frequently (2-3 times a day usually at the most)
How do I care for my tattoo?
Petroleum-based ointments like vaseline, A&D and Aquaphor are the best ways to over-moisturize a tattoo
How do I care for my tattoo?
Anything medicated like A&D ointment or Neosporin will help your body heal wounds fast but that's not a good idea for a tattoo, tattoos need to heal naturally, that's why we recommend non scented lotions
What lotion should I use to care for my sweet new tat?!
Any plain boring white water-based lotion is great, Lubriderm, Aveeno, Jergens, Eucerin, Nivea, Cetaphil and suave are all great as long as they are NON-SCENTED
Can I make changes to my design after the consultation/deposit?
The best part of the consultation is us putting our heads together to figure out the best possible way to make your tattoo dream come true. After that, any additional things you want to add or change might drastically effect the design, if your artist has already started designing your work you may be required to leave an additional deposit if they need to start the design process over again. Think about what you want to get tattooed before you talk to an artist, changing your mind might change their mind too.
Things to keep in mind for your designs
Small and simple tattoos do not mean quick and easy, the more you strip down a design the harder the tattoo becomes, if its something “simple” there is usually no room for hiccups.
Things to keep in mind for your designs
If your idea is the type of design you don't see on our website or our artists social media or if its not something you would see on the walls of a tattoo shop, is it a good idea for a tattoo?
